Whilst Hamilton normally does not sign replica helmets, as this was purposely commissioned by one of the mechanics working at the Mercedes team and the paint job was 'better than normal' in Hamilton's words he was happy to sign it for his colleague. This helmet was track worn by a mechanic several times at Mercedes' teams' karting events.
This replica edition helmet of Lewis Hamilton commemorating his 5th World Championship win was signed in person by Lewis Hamilton at the Mercedes factory in early 2018.
